Hi, I’m Carmen — owner, creative director, and lead designer of The Cutting Garden.
For over 30 years, I’ve been designing florals and events that feel thoughtful, beautiful, and true to the people they’re created for. Along the way, my work has been recognized with industry awards, something I’m incredibly grateful for — but what matters most to me is how my clients feel on their day.
I believe flowers do more than decorate a space. They set the tone, tell a story, and create an experience your guests will remember long after the celebration ends.
Whether you come to me with a fully formed vision or just a feeling you can’t quite put into words yet, I’m here to guide you through it. I love taking all the pieces — florals, textures, color, lighting, and layout — and weaving them together so everything feels seamless, intentional, and elevated.
My goal is simple: for your event to feel effortless, cohesive, and unmistakably you.
At The Cutting Garden, I specialize in luxury floral design, curated rentals, and full wedding design services.
My path into the floral world began with a background in Interior Design, which shaped the way I see space, balance, and detail. At just 21 years old, I opened my first flower shop — and that leap of faith turned into a career I’ve now been lucky enough to grow for over three decades.
With more than 35 years in the wedding and event industry, my work has earned awards and recognition, but what I’m most proud of are the relationships I’ve built along the way. I take the time to truly listen, understand your style, and bring your ideas to life in a way that feels personal and meaningful — never cookie-cutter.
I’m hands-on, detail-driven, and fully invested in every event I take on. When you work with me, you’re not just hiring a florist — you’re partnering with someone who genuinely cares about your experience from the very first conversation.
